Head of the Intensive Care Unit for Acute Stroke in Zanjan Province;
 Zanjan Acute Stroke Center has been recognized as the best center for recording and treating acute stroke patients
Dr. Abdolreza Ghoreishi stated: Zanjan Acute Stroke Treatment Center, among 1700 stroke units, has been recognized as the best center for recording and treating acute stroke patients  with thrombolytic drugs.

The head of Zanjan Acute Stroke Unit, in an interview referring to the services and activities of the Acute Stroke Unit in Zanjan Valiasr Hospital four years ago, said: "During this period, this unit has received many patients. Out of total patients, 1,224 patients have undergone specific treatment for acute stroke with a clot-dissolving drug.
He added: "In order to improve and control  the quality of services provided, the World Stroke Organization recommends that stroke treatment centers should include their patients in international stroke information registration centers."
 Dr. Ghoreishi said that one of these centers is the SITS system, which is headquartered in Carolinska, Sweden. The registry includes 1,700 stroke treatment centers (SCUs) from 80 countries on four continents which has the responsibility of recording information.
 The head of the Zanjan Acute Stroke Unit continued: "SITS annually introduces the top 20 centers in the world in four branches. The recently announced in terms of top centers was done in  2019.
