What is Physiology?
Physiology is the study of the biological processes that support life. Our department examines the interaction between factors that determine health and disease at the cellular, tissue, and whole-organism levels. In many ways, physiology expertise underpins possibilities for breakthroughs in specialized areas of study such as cell biology, cardiology, psychiatry...the list goes on.
Our goal is to understand how physiological systems encode, transmit, and act upon information from the level of single molecules to integrated systems of the cell, organ, and organism as they must in order to ensure human health. We invite you to join our team, take up our arsenal of modern tools, and deepen your understanding of the dynamics of living systems.
