Pediatric and Neonatal Intensive Care Nursing is a branch of nursing that investigates  family-centered care, the concepts of growth and development, and the essentials and health problems of children in a variety  of ages. Also, using critical thinking skills based on the family-centered nursing and caring process, the department offers appropriate interventions to address common health problems in infants and children, and emphasizes family and child training and rehabilitation. The educational mission of the Pediatrics Nursing Department is to train knowledgeable, committed, expert, and efficient students who, by acquiring professional experience and benefiting from latest knowledge, and relying on community-based approach and based on scientific knowledge deliver health services, child care and rehabilitation, taking into account   leading standards to provide and maintain community health promotion with a focus on family-centered care. The department currently has four faculty members (three with pediatric nursing masters’, and one neonatal intensive care master). In addition to running undergraduate specific courses of nursing, this group also runs theoretical and practical courses in other departments of the faculty.
