History of Student Research Committee of Zanjan University of Medical Sciences
The Student Research Committee (SRC) of Zanjan University of Medical Sciences as a suitable framework for fundamental research in the various field of medical sciences as well as training of young researchers was established in 2000. The Student Research Committee consists of a central committee and 6 committees in the faculties of Medicine, Pharmacy, Dentistry, Nursing and Midwifery, Health and Paramedical sciences. The central committee consists of the head, secretary, the members of the central council and research council. Each faculty has its own research committee, which is located in a separate building and is independent in making decisions but coordinates its affairs with the central committee.
Vision, Mission, and Goals
The Student Research Committee is responsible for various activities to empower the students in the fields of research and skills. All activities are based on students' scientific and executive abilities and supervision of different professors. Every year, a call for membership in the research committee is held to attract interested and talented students. The central student research committee attempts to support and provide the appropriate infrastructure for the activities of all faculty branches in line with the goals of the 3rd generation universities.
The Student Research Committee of Zanjan University of Medical Sciences is formed under the auspices of the National Student Research Committee and works according to the provisions of the statute. The main goals include: Promoting the skills and culture of research among all university students, creating a suitable platform for flourishing, growth and promotion of students' science and research and training future researchers and managers, empowering students in the field of research through various methods of theoretical and practical education, creating Suitable context for material and spiritual support of the university from students' scientific-research activities, improvement of scientific-research relations between professors and students.
The scope of the activities of the Student Research Committee of Zanjan University of Medical Sciences
The main mission is to "educate how to do a research study". The main activities can be summarized as the following:
• Holding research training workshops.
• Supporting research projects as the only center where students can implement their research projects.
• Collaborate in holding congresses, conferences, and seminars.
• Formation, organization, and leading the research units. |
